These guidelines are intended to assist people who wish to develop a poverty eradication strategy using a sustainable livelihoods (SL) approach. This could be for a region, or country, but it is assumed these would be based on the SL principles. This work is based on the experience of 4 regional assessments carried out in Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
