This report shares Khanya’s pioneering action research and action learning work which has had considerable impacts on policy and practice on development in the region, demonstrating the energies, time and commitment of the leadership and staff of the organization. The completed work around rethinking governance, local economic development, learning and sharing, development planning, published material and support to the Department of Social Development, bears testimony to the richness of the Institute’s contribution to the development discourse now underway in South Africa and in the region! Despite the robust and often tough environment Khanya operates in, we believe the coming period is rich with possibilities and opportunities.
