Kamal Singh

Kamal Singh has over 20 years experience of working in and with youth and social movements, NGOs, Governments, bi- and multi-lateral organisations and research institutes as a leader, trainer, researcher, manager and consultant. He has worked in areas related to managing lobbying and advocacy for the rights of poor and disenfranchised communities (especially youth and women), multi-country programmatic development interventions, research, institution building, rural development policy and practice, with particular interest in participatory research and training, international networking and ICT.

His direct experience covers Botswana, Eritrea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, The Gambia, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Jamaica, Palestine, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Philippines, Bolivia, Brazil, USA, UK, Ireland, Germany and Sweden. Through all this, his work has been motivated by a core commitment, at a deeply personal level, to social and economic justice, eradication of poverty and the strengthening of international linkage and solidarity.
