ID MPL visits Ceres Provincial Hospital in an effort to find solutions to ‘poor service’
2006-07-10. Sarah Paulse, an ID MPL in the Western Cape, will be meeting with the Matron of the Ceres Provincial Hospital at 11am tomorrow, Tuesday 11.
Ms Paulse, who has been invited to
the hospital by ID Deputy Mayor for the Cape Winelands District
Municipality, Arrie Krotz, will be speaking to the Matron about the
quality of service provided by the hospital.
The invitation follows a meeting Krotz held with the Matron last week on Wednesday, ‘after a number of concerned citizens came to my office to complain about poor service.’
‘In an effort to find a solution to the hospital’s problems, the Matron said I could bring Ms Paulse along tomorrow. A number of people have complained to me about some members of the hospital staff,’ says Krotz.
‘Service is at its worst over weekends, when the hospital is often so full that people are forced to lie on the floor in the passages.’
Members of the media are invited to attend.
